PERSONAL

I love to travel and have visited over 30 countries as a solo traveler, and gratefully, I have only been robbed once. Traveling has taught me to be a very adept scooter driver, a cautious taxi taker, and an exceptionally patient public transportation rider. I am a very frugal adventure seeker which has solidified my place in story-telling superstardom.

Cedar, my bestie, is a rescue dog from Thailand. She was rescued from the dog meat trade as a pup and has lived 7 of her 13 years with me. She is what they call "food motivated" and spends substantial time sleeping on the couch but she does love her daily walk along the Westbay walkway.

I am and have been very active in numerous sports. Currently, I curl and golf (age appropriate) but I was an avid slo-pitch/softball player, swimmer, and basketball player for years. I did play rugby for one year at UVIC but that was a disaster.

I "enjoy" renovating properties. In reality, I enjoy completing renovations. I do find that this is the area of my life where I can be the most creative.

I absolutely love live music (any genre), reading, and escaping into nature to hunt for waterfalls. I drink a lot of exceptionally strong coffee and would miss grilled cheese sandwiches the most if I was forced to forage for food.

I share this with you because I think it is important to realize that people who run for municipal politics are people just like you. Everyone who runs does so intending to make their community better. I believe if you can see the human behind the politics, you will treat all candidates with more grace - at least I hope so.
